Meet the Team

Our Horses

Honey: 1997 Quarterhorse Mare
Loves riding slow and fast, she is quiet, patient and loving. She is learning to jump and willing to try anything if your brave enough! She came all the way from West Virginia to join us at Shenango Way Farm.
A fun fact about Honey: Before beginning her second career as a riding horse, Honey was a broodmare and has eight quarterhorse babies!

Rapunzel and her fan club

Rapunzel: 2001 Shetland cross
She is a spunky little pony and blind in one eye. She is a favorite here, and often goes on the road to give pony rides and birthday parties.
A fun fact about Rapunzel: because of her thick winter fur and oily undercoat, Rapunzel can stay out in the rain all day without getting wet!

Tifi: 2002 Paint Mare
This is my girl! She is a calm, versatile mount who isn't bothered by anything. She has adapted well to lesson work, and the kids love her. She is quite a jumper with a neat tuck. Her registered name is "One Awsome Girl", as indeed she is!
A fun fact about Tifi: Her name "Tifi" comes from two criolle words: ti and fi which together mean "little girl".

Penny: 2009 Quarter Pony
Penny is the newest addition to our farm, and so far we really love her! She is still young and learning, but she learns fast and is already an active part of lessons and riding. Her unique color is called "dun", and includes a dorsal stripe down the center of her back and zebra stripes on her legs.
A fun fact about Penny: Although she is fully grown, and not much smaller than our other horses, she measures only 13.2 hands and so is considered a pony.
